5 Alternatives for the First-Date
So, you’ve finally scored the first date with the girl of your dreams and now you’re looking for fun ways to make this the best first date she’s ever been to. After all, you want to make her remember it, right?
But, where do you go? It seems like everything has been done. Dinners are boring, going to the movies hasn’t been original since the 70s. You’re in a bit of a dilemma. Well, worry not, because a) she’s most likely already told you where she’d love to go, and b) we have some badass first date alternatives in the lines below.
Don’t let a disability hold you back when it comes to dating, check out this great post for 5 inclusive date ideas.
Go to a cool restaurant
Wait, didn’t you just said that dinners are boring? Yep, we did and they are boring when you go to a boring restaurant.
Instead, go to some cool place and experience something you’ve never done before. A waterfront seafood restaurant is a great way to enjoy the waves, have a one of a kind view in front of you and eat a shark. Dinners are boring if you make them so. Try something interesting from the menu and maybe you can both find something new that you like together. And bam, that’s called bonding.
Or, you can just spend the day at the beach.
Going to the beach has its own kind of charm. While many people won’t find anything interesting to do at the beach, if you both have pets or kids, you can make it an awesome de-stressing time for both of you and just enjoy each others company.
What’s more, you can turn it into a waterfront picnic and enjoy some good ol’ homemade food.
And while we’re on the topic of nature, what do you think about hiking?
Definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking the first date, but if they love nature, then hiking is more than a logical choice.
But there’s a twist. Choose a more easy path and go through it. The idea of the first date is to get to know each other, and if you can’t breathe because the trail is way too hard, then it kind of loses its purpose. Maybe just hit the gym then?
Or just go play laser tag!
Yes, you won’t really get talking but it will be goofy and fun. Laser tag has this ability to bring out your inner child, and what helps you get to know someone more than talking? When they’re having fun!
So, yup, laser tag is definitely a good idea. Just make sure they’ll like it.
And lastly, go to a theme park.
Another way to not be too serious and just have fun is to go to a local theme park. The rides can be pretty fun, and some are even adrenaline pumping (all the better if you’re both adrenaline junkies).
The quirkiness and fun definitely put theme parks on the list of best-ever first date ideas and they also have some of the best junk food you can eat.
