DIY: Sandalwood Sugar Scrub Bars

I love Sandalwood and its woody and earthy fragrance. It can be found in a lot of men’s cosmetic products due to its masculine notes. It makes for a lovely addition to any homemade beauty products like these super quick, easy, and cheap to make sugar scrub bars.

Almond oil is a popular ingredient in natural beauty products. It is a mild and soothing oil that is beneficial for both the skin and hair. Its emollient properties make almond oil an excellent choice to keep the skin, hair, and scalp soft and hydrated.

Sugar body scrubs are fantastic for exfoliating your skin. They remove dead skin cells, lifting away dirt and excess oil, as well as stimulating circulation. Glycolic acid occurs naturally in sugar and helps cleanse the skin and dissolve dead skin cells.

My skin is dry and sensitive, but I do enjoy a good regular scrub to keep it smooth and healthy. It always needs a good moisturise after, but it always feels better after a decent exfoliation!

These Sandalwood Sugar Scrub Bars don’t take long to make and are perfect to add to anyone’s skincare regime. You can even give them away as gifts! So, why not give them a go?

Ingredients:

Makes 6 bars

  • 4 – 1”x1” cubes of goat’s milk melt and pour soap base

  • ¼ cup sweet almond oil
  • 30 drops sandalwood fragrance
  • ¼ tsp coffee colored mica powder
  • 2oz square soap mold
  • 2-4 cup microwave safe measuring cup
