How to Have the Ultimate Pamper Evening

Every now and then, we should try to have a little pamper evening to look after ourselves. These can be a great way to squeeze a little self-care into our weekly routines, and it means that you can get a chance to unwind and just enjoy yourself. Here are our top tips for the ultimate pamper evening.

Keep the Screens to a Minimum

While you will no doubt put together a playlist of music that you will want to listen to throughout the evening, and you might decide to watch a film or an episode of your favourite TV show, you should definitely think about keeping the screens to a minimum. This can help you detox from technology a little, and focus entirely on yourself for an evening. The temptation to scroll through social media can be a little too much, and it can distract you and keep you from properly relaxing.

Remember to put your phone on silent and mute some of your incoming messages. You need to make sure that your phone is not constantly pinging – interrupting your music and keeping you from sitting back and properly chilling out. It is just for a few hours, and it could really do you the world of good.

Start with a Bath

A long soak in a hot bath is a great way to kick off any pamper evening. A little me-time isn’t complete without getting to take some time to just chill in the bath. Of course, you need to make sure that you have some foam and other distractions to make it into a relaxing place where you can just lay back and let your cares unwind.

Why not look into bath bombs containing CBD, or some other product to add something special to your bath? CBD bath bombs often come with lavender and other relaxing ingredients and they can be just what you need to relax. Everyone loves using a bath bomb! Or try a topical product that can be more complex than CBD oils.

Exfoliate and Moisturise

Once you are out of the bath, or even when you are in it, you should take the time to properly take care of your body. You might already exfoliate and moisturise as part of your routine, but this can be a chance to do it properly and really take your time with it.

Why not consider making your own exfoliant? There are plenty of guides on the internet that you could follow in your hunt for soft skin. These all-natural skincare products can be something special to add to a pamper evening, or you can always opt for your favourite that you have bought before. Pay special attention to areas like your knees and elbows that you know get dry. With a little TLC, you could have them feeling a lot better to touch than they did before!

Skincare

You also need to pay special attention to your face on a pamper evening. Now is the perfect time for you to work out what sort of care it needs and then target each of those concerns as best as you can. If you want to take a good skincare routine forward, why not look into a 10-step Korean skincare routine? Though this might seem extreme, it can give you many different products that all appear to boost your skin in some way. Your face can be very temperamental, but you can care for each of its little stresses as you need.

Even if you don’t want to do a full routine, a pamper evening is the perfect excuse for you to do a facemask! There are three main types that you can try – a clay mask, a peel mask, and a sheet mask, and everyone needs to try each of them at some point! Clay and peel masks are applied to the skin and then left to dry down. The former will need to be washed off, while the latter is – as the name suggests – peeled off. Clay masks are also great for multi-masking which allows you to use masks with different properties to target the needs of different parts of your face. A sheet mask is a piece of hypoallergenic material that has been soaked in either an essence or serum. It can be a little terrifying to catch yourself in the mirror when wearing a sheet mask, but they can produce some amazing results and they have less clean-up than a clay or peel mask!

Nails

Finally, you should give a little love to the nails on both your hands and your feet. Soak them for a little bit, and then push back your cuticles safely. This, coupled with a file and a shine might be all that you want to do, but it can make a massive difference to your hands.

If you do want to add a little colour, now is the time to do it. There are so many brands of nail varnish out there for you to choose from. Don’t forget about indie sellers too – they often have some great options that the bigger brands don’t have! You should also take a look at toppers and other additions that can make your manicure or pedicure more fun. Finish with nail oil to rehydrate, plus your favourite hand or foot cream. Everyone’s hands and feet deserve a little love – we use them more than we think every day and this can be a great way to pamper them!
