Introducing: Daisy London
Discovering brilliant brands is one of my favourite things, particularly when I get to share them here on my blog.
Today I want to tell you about a much-loved British jewellery brand known for beautiful, everyday jewellery with meaning with adventure, a love for life, a need to explore close to the brand’s heart; Daisy London who offered me the chance to review 2 pairs of their lovely earrings.
Daisy London was dreamt up in London’s Portobello Road and launched in 2009 with the namesake Daisy collection inspired by wildflowers. Daisy is the essence of the carefree London girl wherever you are in the world. Since 2009 the brand has grown to cult status, fusing a bohemian state of mind with wearable, contemporary jewellery design.
A team of brilliant women and a few equally brilliant men, run by Creative Director Ruth Bewsey, pour their love into Daisy to make a brand that represents the best of the team.
An important factor of any brand for me is their dedication to the environment. At Daisy, they don’t design throw away pieces or use cheap metals. They use recycled 925 sterling silver with high-quality 18ct gold plating, designed to be worn and treasured for years. They include a six-month warranty as standard. Each piece of jewellery is designed to be an extension of the customer’s personal style.
Daisy’s packaging is made with FSC certified materials and can be reused, recycled or repurposed. Daisy has a partnership with 4ocean, and for every item purchased they will remove 90g of plastic—equivalent to 10 small plastic bottles—from our planet’s oceans. They also make sure suppliers and their employees are fairly paid, and work in the best conditions—in accordance with the Responsible Jewellery Council.
A pair of earrings can totally transform any look, and the Daisy earring collection offers vast options including stud, drop and hoop styles all bang on trend and created with love. From minimal studs to chunky and pendant designs you are bound to find at least half a dozen designs to fall in love with.
I picked out 2 pairs to review, the Amanda Huggie Hoop Earrings and Hexagon Palm Drop Earrings.
The Amanda Huggie Hoop Earrings are handmade from 18ct Gold plate and feature three split hoops with delicate ball detailing which gives them a really lovely texture without being too much. They sit a little further away from the ear lobe and look great on their own or can be stacked.
The Hexagon Palm Drop Earrings really speak to the Art Deco period, featuring black enamel and 18ct gold plate hexagon charms on a hexagon huggie hoop in a bold yet refined look. They are certainly eye-catching and complete any night out look and brings out your 1920’s glam.
Both pairs of earrings are of fantastic quality and the designs are simply delightful. I will certainly recommend Daisy London to anyone looking for jewellery for themselves or as a gift in the future.
