Peppermint Giraffe: unique, edgy fashion

A few years ago I was a Goth – yes that’s right – lots of black, vicious looking jewellery and I rocked the heavy eye liner look. I have never really lost the love of alternative style and edgy looks which is why when I heard of Peppermint Giraffe I wanted to share this brand with you. Peppermint Giraffe design  unique pieces of both new and recycled customised clothing for women.

Peppermint Giraffe use lots of techniques to put together their very individual pieces including ripping, slashing, painting, blinging up and incorporating zips, studs, chains and whatever else available to make something really special and eye catching.

Launched in 2010, they have been providing pieces across the globe including customers in New York and around the US and Europe, small boutiques and market stalls for over two years.

My alternative side loves the punk look – I lived in Camden Town for 18 months and always saw this style on the street but as a Goth never incorporated it into my own look. This is a very British look, harking back to the 1970s when punk emerged. Incorporating all the different materials to otherwise usual looking jackets, tops and trousers this brand really offers a mix of heritage with a modern twist.

These unique, individual pieces wont be found with anyone else as they all come from the Peppermint Giraffe ‘magic funk room’ which produces cool jackets, edgy skirts, punky shorts, sexy jeans, unique tees and tops – no two items are exactly the same. This brand also customises clients own clothes when requested, with names, dates and occasions which are unique and special so it there’s that item of clothing that you love but has lost it’s sparkle these guys can transform it into something new and eye catching once more.

Peppermint Giraffe is a brand whose clothing is full of fun and edge – definitely for women with a rebellious streak and a fantastic walk down memory lane for myself. They don’t take themselves too seriously but just love the fun and expression of fashion – an ethos perhaps more of us should live by!
