Brighton might seem an entire world away from London, but the charming coastal city is only an hour away by train and this makes it a great place for a day trip from the capital. Getting to Brighton

Brighton Beach

Once you walk out of Brighton station, you simply need to carry on straight down the road and you will soon see the ocean. The beach is large enough to find a spot even on a busy day and there are endless shops, pubs and restaurants on the seafront to choose from.

Brighton Pier

The Royal Pavilion

Brighton’s Royal Pavilion is one of the more striking attractions as it consists of Gothic, Chinese and Indo-Saracenic architecture. There is a nice park surrounding the Pavilion but you can also do a tour of the inside – it is as impressive inside as it is outside!

There is a Bank (replica) near North Laine (a great area for exploring) and Trafalgar Street also has plenty of impressive pieces worth checking out while wandering the streets and soaking up the atmosphere.
