Review: Baie Botanique Rose Renew Skincare Range
For the last year or so I have been working hard to keep up a (semi) regular skincare regime to help keep my sensitive and sometimes dry skin looking and feeling good. I love trying out new products in my mission to find the best regime for me so when Baie Botanique offered me the chance to try out their rose renew skincare range I was very happy to give it a go.
The rose renew skincare range is made up of three essential skincare products: a face wash, a serum and a cream/ moisturiser all designed to replenish the skin, protect against free radicals and combat the signs of premature ageing. All three products come beautifully packaged with a luxury feel promoted by the clean white labels, rose coloured highlights and silver details.
Regenerating face wash
The regenerating face wash is an enriched cleansing and hydrating facial wash gel formulated to brighten and revitalise the skin leaving it softened and refreshed. It has a satisfying thick gel texture and a really lovely rose fragrance from its rose geranium essential oil which also has a luxury feel. The gel isn’t a big foamer which I like and is easily massaged into wet skin. Once rinsed off my skin feels clean and nourished from the rose hip oil whereas some other cleansing products leave my skin feeling tight.
Regenerating serum
I have come to realise that a quality serum is a must have in any skincare regime to help nourish and hydrate. The Baie Botanique regenerating serum is a rose enriched anti-aging serum designed to promote cell renewal and regeneration using active botanicals to improve elasticity by sealing in moisture which is perfect for my dry skin. The serum is a lightweight gel which easily glides over skin and is quickly absorbed. It tingles a little on application and has a bit of an astringent feel to it which I expect comes from the rosewater, an ingredient which traps moisture in the upper layers of the epidermis by preventing it from evaporating, and has a pleasant soothing, cooling effect.
Regenerating face cream
The last step of any good skin regime is the application of a moisturiser. The regenerating face cream is a rose enriched anti-oxidant product designed to plump, hydrate and replenish skin whilst protecting against free radicals and combating the signs of premature ageing. I really like the packaging for this product as it comes with a glamorous looking silver pump action top which looks great and is very practical. The cream is a satisfying thick consistency and like the other products has a fabulous floral fragrance. After application my skin feels plump, hydrated and less irritated which is always a sign of a good moisturiser.
I think that the rose renew skincare range is perfect for an everyday skincare regime with all the important elements present to clean, revitalise and hydrate skin and a touch of luxury which makes the ritual a pleasant one and not a chore! I would love to see the range expand to include an exfoliator and a mask but until then I am loving this range and award it 5 out of 5 stars.
