Review: Birthday Hamper from Gift Hampers UK

August is my birthday month, so when it rolls around I am always trying to think of gifts that my friends and family might like to get me. I usually rely on an Amazon wishlist which is shared so that it’s easy for those wanting to pick out a gift for me to find something that I will like (and want!)

Although, I have to admit, that over the last few years I have been focusing more on experiences than ‘stuff’ as I am running out of space in my house for more stuff!

Things like going to the spa with friends or an experience at our local wildlife foundation are becoming more commonplace when it comes to gifts. Of course, I do love edible or consumable presents and as my friends know I am a big fan of gin there is usually a bottle or two snuck in among my gifts, so when Gift Hampers UK offered me the chance to review one of their hampers I was immediately drawn to their Gin Hamper.

From birthday gifts to anniversary gifts, wedding gifts to thank you gifts, Gift Hampers UK has options for you, whether you are looking for friends, family, or colleagues. Rather than getting your friend some more ‘stuff’ why not get them something they can enjoy on an evening in with their partner, or with you?

The All About Gin & Tonic Gift Hamper comes in a colourful, whimsical gift box that says ‘there’s a chance this is gin’, which makes for a fun first impression by anyone opening their gift. Inside you’ll find a selection of goodies:

  • The English Drinks Company – The Lemon Grove Gin 5cl
  • The Artisan Drinks Amalfi Lime Tonic 200ml
  • Sugar Sin Gin Fizz Gummies 100g
  • Gnaw Gin & Tonic Chocolate Bar 100g
  • Olly’s Olives Green Olives with Garlic & Basil 50g
  • Simpkins Lemon Sours Tin 50g

I think the selection is lovely, there’s a mix of sweet and sharp citrus flavours along with the savoury garlic and basil olives and a miniature bottle of gin alongside an artisan tonic. I particularly like the Simpkins Lemon Sours which combine sweetness and sourness, and the stand-out lime tonic which really brings something special to the G&T experience.

I think this gift hamper would make a lovely gift for any gin-lover, like me! It certainly includes plenty of gin-themed treats to keep your friend happy, with different textures and flavours. Although this is a birthday hamper I could definitely see this being sent as a new home, wedding or thank you gift.

If Gin isn’t your top choice Gift Hamper UK offers all sorts of different gift options from foodie, beer and wine hampers to sweets, free-from and alcohol-free selections with prices ranging from £34 to £100+ for large wine hampers.

I am really happy with the contents and presentation of the Gin Hamper and am happy to award it 5 out of 5 stars.
