Review: Nereus London Detoxing & Hydrating Natural Haircare Set

I have been trying to work on my impact on the Earth for some time. I am reducing my use of single-use plastics, buying from brands that offer recyclable, reusable or sustainable packaging and of course, being vegan is always a big tick in the environmentally friendly column.

I have to admit that the pandemic has had a negative effect on my efforts; it’s been far too easy to rely on online shopping with next day delivery for all manner of items and I have started feeling particularly guilty. Before Covid-19 took hold I was regularly shopping at eco-stores and getting refills for my most used products and kitchen cupboard staples. Of course, being told to stay at home and fears of being in crowded or small stores meant that these good habits fell by the wayside.

I was excited when Nereus London reached out offering me the chance to review their detoxing and hydrating natural hair care products. I had never heard of them and the more I learned about them, their ethos and products the more I liked them and that was before I had even tried their products.

I was sent their award winning Detoxing Shampoo (250ml) and Hydrating Conditioner (250ml) in a lovely gift box. Both products are made in the UK and are free of silicones, parabens, sulfates, animal-derived ingredients, and harsh chemicals. The shampoo and conditioner have a subtle but pleasant smoky scent with hints of rose and citrus. The shampoo does have a surprisingly runny consistency but is manageable with a little warning! The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling nourished, soft and smooth. My hair is fine and can be limp but I found that it felt thicker and my curls looked fabulous.

I really love both the product and the company and am happy to award the Nereus London Detoxing and Hydrating Natural Haircare set 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this brand to anyone looking to lessen their impact on the planet.
