Review: SoundPEATS Q16 Wireless Earbuds
I have always hated wires. They simply get in the way and don’t let me have as much freedom to move around as I’d like. These days I try to use wireless technology wherever I can so when I was offered the chance to review the SoundPEATS Q16 Wireless Earbuds I was very happy to give them a go!
Although I have used wireless headphones for some time and have tried some Bluetooth earphones which were wired together but connected to the music source via Bluetooth, I have never tried totally wire-free earbuds before so this was an exciting opportunity.
The SoundPEATS earbuds are totally wireless, which will set you free from the usual restraints on movement which wired products tend to have. It also means no more noise when you move and no more cords stuck to your neck, clothes or bag! Love it!
The earbuds weigh 24g which isn’t much and they come in a great little carry case which makes them neat and easy to transport in your bag or pocket along with a double USB cable which allows for simple charging. In the case, you will find a selection of different sized earbuds so you can personalise it for comfort.
The set is made up of two separate earbuds which can be used together or separately for if you want to share your music/movies/TV with someone else at the same time. You can enjoy the stereo sound by using both earpieces, or mono sound using one on its own. The earbuds can also be used for hands-free mono sound calls with a handy built-in microphone function.
A key feature for any keep fitters out there is that the earbuds have been designed to be sweat proof and to have a secure fit ear-hook meaning they won’t fall out whilst you’re on your daily run or when you’re at the gym.
The earbuds employ 4.2 Bluetooth Technology which allows for super clear sound, along with a CSRA64210 Bluetooth Chipset for fast and stable connectivity. Each earbud has its own battery which means you can enjoy 6 hours working time on each earpiece which is a bonus!
So, how have I gotten on with the SoundPEATS earbuds? I have to admit that when I first looked at them I thought they were a bit cumbersome and would probably be uncomfortable to wear, however, I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy they are to put on and how comfortable they are to wear. The first time putting them on was a bit fiddly but it was easier the second time and offers a secure placement.
I have been impressed by the sound quality the SoundPEATS offer with both high treble and low bass being well represented without losing crispness using the stereo option with both earbuds working well together.
I have also tried the earbuds for making phone calls and am happy to report that they work very well with the microphone picking up my voice loud and clear as long as the phone is within the Bluetooth working range (10m). I also noted that the earbuds do a decent job reducing background noises which make them perfect for commuting.
Overall I am very happy with the SoundPEATS Q16 Wireless Earbuds, with them doing everything that it says on the tin. I love the freedom of totally wireless earphones which make it easy and painless to walk around, travel or drive whilst enjoying music or taking calls. Despite being a little fiddly at the start I definitely think these are a good product and award them 5 our of 5 stars.
