Review: Sudio Tolv Wireless Earphones

When I’m listening to music or watching a movie nothing bothers me more than moving my head and getting caught on the head or earphone cable – especially if this results in my phone being pulled onto the floor. So when I was offered the chance to try Sudio’s wireless Tolv earphones I was excited to give them a go.

Sudio’s products are influenced by Swedish music and inspired by clean, elegant Swedish design to spark that moment where you get lost in the music and time stands still. Their aim is to offer exceptional sound quality to music enthusiasts of every kind – wayfarers, daydreamers, and storytellers alike.

The Tolv earphones offer an audio experience with complete freedom, free from wires that so often distract and get in the way. They feature a graphene driver for enhanced sound clarity, automatic pairing between earbuds and device, a microphone on both earbuds and a multipurpose button on each earbud to control music/phone calls. At only 4.5 grams per earbud, they are light enough to be almost unnoticeable when wearing. The Tolv earphones come in 5 colours: black, white, green, pink and blue.

When I first opened the box I was taken aback by the rather attractive case which turned out not only to offer the earphones a safe storage place for when they are in your pocket or handbag but also serves as a charging case – simply plug the provided USB cable into the port on the back of the case and snap the earphones into place and they will charge! I love this feature – it means I don’t have to worry about losing or damaging the earphones whilst they roll around on a table charging.

I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that the automatic connectivity actually works. It only took a mere moment to connect them to my phone – and since then all I have to do to connect the earphones to my phone is to pick them up out of the case and by the time I have placed them in my ears they have connected and ready to go. Awesome. I hate fiddling around trying to get Bluetooth connection to work especially when walking so I love this feature.

I have to admit that it did take me a few times to be able to fit the earphones into the right place, however, since working out the right method it takes only a few seconds. Once settled the earphones are comfortable and light enough to wear for long periods and don’t leave my ears sore.

I have mostly been using them to watch videos however the few times I have used them for listening to music I found that both bass and treble was well represented and the sound was sharp and exciting.

Last but by far not least I really love the look of these earphones – I shouldn’t really be surprised because I love Scandinavian style and the Tolv earphones are minimal and sleek. I love the mix of matt and metallic materials which makes them most attractive.

I’m happy to report that the Sudio Tolv earphones now have a permanent home in my handbag, I use them regularly and I award them 5 stars for both style and substance.
