Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture & Night Cream
As someone who suffers from sensitive skin which is often dry, I have tried and tested out a lot of moisturising products and it’s a rare thing that I come across one that I actually like. I find them either to be too thick and slow to absorb which makes them uncomfortable to use or simply just not hydrating enough for my poor thirsty skin.
At the end of last year I treated myself to an advent calendar from The Body Shop and I was delighted to discover amongst the goodies were a tub of their iconic Vitamin E Moisture Cream along with a tub of their Vitamin E Night Cream which I was excited to try out.
The day cream is a lightweight (yippee!), easily absorbed (double yippee!) facial moisturiser which is designed to lock in moisture for all-day protection leaving skin feeling fresh and looking radiant. It is formulated with vitamin E, plumping hyaluronic acid and wheat germ oil to protect against drying out with for 48 hours.
The Vitamin E Moisture Cream is suitable for all skin types and uses bio-fermented hyaluronic acid from France combined with Community Trade shea butter from Ghana and aloe vera from Mexico. It is best used after cleansing and toning, simply use fingertips to smooth the cream onto the face and neck as part of your morning routine.
The Vitamin E night cream is a richer product designed to replenish and prevent loss of moisture overnight. The thicker night cream is intensely hydrating and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.
Again, it is suitable for all skin types and uses vitamin E, plumping hyaluronic acid, wheat germ oil and Community Trade cocoa butter from Ghana. The night cream is easily incorporated into the evening skincare routine before doing to bed, just smooth on evenly with fingertips to face and neck.
I have loved using the vitamin E creams, they are comfortable to apply and absorb quickly making it a quick addition to my skincare routine. They are not greasy don’t make me feel like I am smothered! Both products leave my skin feeling quenched of thirst although I do think I apply quite a bit of the day cream at a time so will have to try not to use it up too fast!
I award the vitamin E creams from The Body Shop 5 out of 5 stars for hydrating and soothing my otherwise thirsty and dry skin and will have to be stocking up again soon!
