Review: Wall Art from Desenio

I am always so envious of people who have beautiful homes, and I am not just talking about their lack of clutter and apparent effortless cleanliness. One thing that endless scrolling on social media will do to you is make you feel sick with envy! Who doesn’t want to have a home full of beautiful furniture and elegant interior designs?

I have to admit that I don’t feel like I am in my ‘forever home‘ yet, and for that reason, I have yet to put full effort into creating the interior of my dreams. However, I do have a very clear aesthetic which followed me from my previous home to this one and that’s typical Scandi with greys and whites playing the main role with very few hints of colour.

Since moving into my current house I have tried to add my stamp with homemade soft furnishings (I am an avid crocheter), having photographs printed and put up on the walls alongside works from artists I have discovered. Despite my best efforts, there are still areas of the house which are a bit too minimal, even for me! So when Desenio offered me the chance to review some of their stylish wall art I knew it was the perfect time to fill some of those gaps.

Desenio offers the latest in art and design, with many different styles available reflecting the latest trends in interior design. They know that hanging wall art is an easy way to create your own personal atmosphere in a home. Their range includes thousands of pieces of wall art in countless different designs, so you’re sure to find the right wall art to suit your personal taste. Options include photographic prints, classic black & white images, cool retro wall art, modern abstract art, illustrations, beautiful wall art for kids, and much more.

My favourite feature on the Desenio website is the gallery wall section which offers inspiration for how you can combine prints of different sizes to create a really appealing display. Check out their gallery wall tool to get ideas on how to use their posters and prints in different combinations together with other colours, interior styles and materials.

When it came to picking out my designs I knew that I wanted a collection that would work well together and represent my interests so when I came across the Beautiful Nature Collection Poster pack I knew it would be perfect. The 4 included designs have green, blue and beige tones that work really well with the grey tone of my bedroom wall. I also picked out 4, 30cmx 40cm white wooden frames in which to place them.

As well as the 4, 30cm x 40cm posters I wanted to add something larger to my gallery so I picked out the Nine Arch Bridge print (along with the 50cm x 70cm white wooden frame) which has a neutral look with a down-to-earth colour palette which perfectly matches with the poster pack. In fact, I ordered 2 of the big frames and have this week purchased an extra print to complete the set, the Stag In Forest Poster. For ease of mounting, I also picked out some picture hooks!

I have to admit that it took me longer than I had planned, to get the art up on the wall. Unfortunately, I caught Covid so was set back a few weeks as I didn’t have the energy to do it, however, I am on the mend and with a little help have been able to set up my lovely gallery on my empty bedroom wall. It was surprisingly easy to place the prints in the frames and tap the picture hooks into the wall. The hardest part was trying to make sure the frames were level and evenly spaced (well, we tried!)

I really love my new gallery wall. The prints and frames perfectly match my style and compliment my grey bedroom wall, filling in a gap that had been bothering me for some time. Now when I wake up I can look over and smile at my lovely art. I enjoyed browsing through all the options on the Desenio website and can’t wait to start building my next gallery!

I happily award Desenio 5 out of 5 for offering a fantastic range of beautiful wall art which will be sure to brighten up any lacklustre empty space in your home.
