In my experience mixing educational activities with fun and sports, frolics allows you to cater for all tastes and will mean family time will be diverse and exciting for all.

Here is my top 10 list of family days out in this Cambridgeshire city:

Peterborough Lido

With depth from under 3 feet to over 8 feet, the pool is a great place to take active children to burn up some energy whilst parents can enjoy the sunbathing lawn and refreshment area.

Grasslands Equestrian Centre

This family-run Equestrian Centre is perfectly placed as a centre for equestrian excellence. Established in 2002 the Grasslands Equestrian Centre offers riding lessons for children aged 4 and up and is sure to keep animal lovers happy.

Big Sky Adventure Play

Catering for children from 3 months to 11 years Big Sky Adventure Play is Peterborough’s premier adventure play centre with kart rides, trampolines and bouncy castles for fun days out no matter what the weather.

Burghley House
